The latest from Kern,
Just a line to let you know mom is at the end and they're just keeping her comfortable with morphine and oxygen. I will give you all the details later. Hospice has taken over and they have stopped her dialysis so it won't be too awfully long. I just don't want her to suffer. She has been in sooooo much pain, but I feel hey finally have it under control. Tell any family members that you feel should know. My address and phone number are:

I received the following email last night from Kern Story in Seattle regarding his mothers condition and wanted to share it with the rest of the family. If you get a chance drop an email or call. I'm sure he would appreciate our support and prayers during this tough time.

Hi Roger;

Just a quick line to let you know that the process is finally starting and Hospice has taken over. She is still in the hospital as it would be too painful to move her home. I literally stay at the hospital and I have made her arrangements. I will let you know when it's over and please give any family members my home address and phone number if they ask.

Coo-Zan Forever;

Kern

The latest from Jim Prather about the gathering in New Orleans. This sounds like some serious good times! Be sure to get in touch with Jim as early as possible so that the reservations can be taken care of.
To send email to Jim just click on his name at the end of this post.
No CPT stuff folks. Lets get it done early before it all gets spent for Christmas!:

Dear Cousins, Friends, Coworkers,

I have 20 rooms reserved fore the Essence Jazz Festival in New Orleans. I have talked personally to some of you, so for those that I didn't talk to here it goes:

The Festival will be held Thur. July 1, Friday, July 2, and Saturday July 3, 2004 at the Superdome in New Orleans, La. The hotel is the Hyatt Regency of New Orleans which is connected to the Superdome. Rooms are $183.80 per night which includes tax. I need one nights room rate no later than Nov. 24, 2003 so I can send the hotel payment for the total rooms reserved. Second payment of $183.80 is due Feb. 9, 2004 and the last payment of $183.80 is due May 3, 2004.

The Jazz Fest tickets do not go on sale until Jan. 1, 2004. I am working diligently to get a block of tickets so that we can all party and enjoy the festival together. Everyone is encouraged to make your own travel arrangements to New Orleans. Freda and Linda are looking for flight info for good deals and will share that info with everyone. If anyone else is
aware of good travel packages, please share your info with us. Check out
Essence Jazz festival.com and see what entertainers performed this year and I'm sure you'll agree, it's going to be a good time!!

The Superdome is down town so you don't need to rent a car. Hotel money is non-refundable, so PLEASE make sure of your committment and again the committment date is Nov. 24, 2003, which means I must have your money in my hand on or before that date, do not send your money on C.P. time!!!

If there are others this email should be sent to, please forward it to all concerned.

Love and Thank you,
Jim Prather
