I really appreciate the inspirational thoughts that
you send to me. Some days I really need them. I
guess you have heard about these fires out here. I am
not affected by them except for the smoke. We have
been told to stay inside so that we do not breathe
much of this smoke. I pray for the people who lost
their homes.

Next order of Business FAMILY REUNION!!!!!

Jim Prather has reserved 20 rooms which we will have
to pay for if we do not use them. So we need
commitments from those families that wish to go ASAP.
Trip is on July 1st-4th in New Orleans. The Details
are as follows:

1) Listed as Story Family Reunion---the rooms are $160
per night, approx.. $183.80 with taxes...single and
double occupancy the same;
2) You will have to commit to the three nights.

3)Jim Prather will be responsible for calling in all
of your money...and if you do not follow through he
will have to cover your room anyway. So you must pay
regardless. There is a NO-CANCEL clause in the
contract.

First payment is due ASAP.
Second payment due Feb. 28th
Final payment due April 30th.

The tickets for the event are around $50 per night per
person. The main concern is the room. So please send
Jim an e-mail if you are interested in going.

Our real family reunion will be the following weekend
July 9th-11th in Columbus, Ohio with Jarue and Justin
as the hosts. We are currently looking in to hotel
information and ideas that will keep the families
interest.

LOVE YOU ALL,
AMINAH

PS. Please make sure that other family memebers that
do not have e-mail get the word.

Just a quick note concerning The fires in Southern California.

The only reports I have so far are from the Mom (Juanita Scott) in San Bernardino. She is fine and in no immediate danger.

My Sister-in-law (Gertrude), niece (Kelli) and nephew (Larry Jr.) and his family evacuated to Riverside from north San Bernardino yesterday and so far it looks like their home is okay.

Over 200 homes have burned to this point and more than a thousand others are in danger in the San Bernardino area alone.

If you have any information regarding family members in the area please pass it on to me using the email link on this page so that we can keep the rest of the family up on their situation. Thanks. Roger

I got this in today's email from Aminah Costner. If you have moved or have a new email address drop her a line or use the email link to Linda or myself and I will pass it on. Thanks!

Hello All,

This is Aminah Costner ( Daughter of George and Diane
Costner, Granddaughter of Julia Ryan Costner Gray). I
am not sure that all of you know I am the NEWLY
APPOINTED Secretary in training to give Linda Talbert
a break. I am trying to get a list together of
addresses e-mails and all that good stuff. I am not
sure of who's names go with these e-mails so if you
would all be so kind to let me know I would greatly
appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
Aminah

More on the 2004 Reunion site.
From Kern Story in Seattle.....

Hello All;

Just a short line in response to your latest email concerning certain sites for the 2004 reunion. I have spoken to Linda Story-Adams and she, along with myself, are in favor of us having the reunion in New Orleans for the upcoming year.

Several of us have never been to the "French Quarter" city, and would love to get a chance to go. I feel the turn out would be great and we could have a lot of fun with our reunion and attending the Essence Jazz Festival.

Love all around,

Kern
