What's your idea on next years family reunion? This post is from Linda. Please take a minute and let everybody know what you would like next year.

Dear Story Family,
Jarue, our president, asked that I convey this message to all for feedback. Please give this careful consideration and let us know what your feelings are on next years' reunion for 2004!

For those who do not know, there is an Essence Jazz Festival held in New Orleans yearly. Jim has proposed that we go there and just unite as a family for the weekend of our reunion. Not much details on the festival but it is similar to the one in Cincinnati, Ohio for those on the East Coast. Thanks.

Subject: Re: 2004 Story Reunion

I know that we were running the Jazz fest through our minds right now, Linda could you broadcast a message on my behalf as to what the family wants to do, if all else fails I think we should be able to host next years reunion here in Columbus. I am still taking ideas, but I know that we need to start planning now. Does New Orleans sound good? If so then I think we should go ahead & start moving. Let's see what the Family wants to do first, but again if we have no consensus then I will start preparing the venue for Co, OH.....love every one of ya'

Hey Family,
Here is a note from Desire of more details that I did not know. You know that God was really Blessing Dee with her longevity! She was looking good in San Bernardino that year....and as Uncle Irvin use to say she still had her "good mind." :-) Keep the information coming! Love to all. Linda

Does anyone remember Dee (Lizza Dee) that was living in San Bernardino, CA for the longest time? She passed way earlier this month at 95ish and was living in L.A. with grandkids. I think that she left Flemingsburg in the late 30's/early 40's. Juanita called me when she passed.

Marc's father (my step-father) is nicknamed Shotgun. He was ejected from a car he was driving when it hydro-planed into oncoming traffic on July 31st. Please keep him lifted up in prayer. He was (God is good!!) in a coma for almost two weeks, but understands, though unable to walk or speak.

As for Diane, Lucille, Shotgun, even Dee and us all, I trust (Rom 4:17) because God quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Love you,
Des

Hello Family,
Just to drop a line on what little I know at this time:

Marcus' father is very ill in Hopkinsville, KY... not sure what the illness is but keep Marcus and his family in your prayers.

Diane Costner, George's wife and Aminah's mother, has been diagnosed with breast cancer and has had surgery to remove the cancer. She will soon begin radiation treatments. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. ( This is Julia Gray's daughter-in-law)

Aunt Lucile Revere recently had surgery on her eyes. She is recuperating nicely at home. Mom (Wilma Jones) went to Xenia to stay with her for a while after her surgery.
Keep her and the rest of the Revere family in your prayers and Rip.

Thanks for your time and remember to keep them all and the whole family in your prayers. May God continue to Bless each of you.

...And you may need to get this on your minds....Jeffery is not having the 2004 Story Reunion so if you have any suggestions I would hope that you will get with Jarue, Justin and/or Aminah. Jim has an idea and will share it with the family as soon as he gets more information on it.

Love,
Linda
